Get started with Venmo via Braintree

Before you begin

If this is your first payment method, make sure to follow the Get started guide to begin processing payments with Primer.

Configure in the Dashboard

  1. Add Venmo payment method to your Braintree account
Go to your Braintree account and add the payment method Venmo.
  1. Add Braintree to your Dashboard
Go to the Connections section of the Dashboard and look for Braintree. Follow the instructions to connect your Braintree processor account to your Primer Dashboard.
  1. Activate Venmo on the Checkout
Go to the Checkout section of the Dashboard and activate the Venmo payment method. Then go to the settings view of Venmo, and make sure that Venmo is properly set up to use your Braintree processor account.
  1. Configure a Workflow to process payments made with Venmo
Go to the Workflow make sure your Braintree processor is used to process payments made with Venmo.

Prepare the client session

Venmo via Braintree leverages the following parameters to process a payment. Pass them when creating the client session.
